Varsity Mustangs Win Sea View League Championship

Last Friday, the Trabuco Hills Mustangs captured the Sea View League baseball championships after defeating San Juan Hills 5-4. Although the they have two league games remaining vs. Mission Viejo (May 10 and 12), the Varsity Mustangs remained undefeated in league play with a perfect record of 10-0, thus allowing them to clinch title two weeks prior to the end of the regular season.

The 2011 Sea View championship represents the first time Trabuco Hills has won a league title in the past 17 years. The Mustangs won the Pacific Coast League baseball title in 1994 after going 14-1 in league play and 19-6 overall.

As of May 4, the Mustangs are ranked #1 in the CIF-SS Div 2 Coaches’ Poll, #6 in Orange County (all divisions) and #12 in CIF-SS (all divisions).
